ACP Sparks Physician Movement #ThisIsOurLane Responding to National Rifle Association Over Policies on Firearms Safety
A new policy paper from the 管家婆心水论坛 has been getting major attention on social media and in mainstream media outlets. On Nov. 7, the National Rifle Association (NRA) tweeted a link to an article on their website opposing ACP's recently updated policy on firearms safety.

Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Palliative medicine aims to relieve symptoms and pain a patient suffers due to a serious illness. Goals of palliative care include reducing suffering, improving the quality of life for a patient, and supporting the patient and family throughout the treatment process.
Dementia is defined as a decline in 2 or more cognitive capacities, causing impairment in function but not alertness or attention. The decline in cognition distinguishes it from lifelong intellectual disability and single learning disorders, both of which are present from birth and symptomatic in childhood.

ACP is collaborating with the renowned Hacking Medicine program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to bring together forward-thinking healthcare professionals, engineers, designers, developers, and technologists to develop interdisciplinary hacks (solutions) to improve clinical workflows.
The Hackathon will be held during Internal Medicine Meeting 2019 on Saturday, April 13, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA.
Collaborate with other professionals to build innovative prototypes. You'll leave with dynamic tools to invent your own solutions and collaborative insight into the current challenges that impact physician well-being.
No technical expertise is required.
