IMIG Event Inspiration

Cardiology Skills Sessions

The internal medicine interest group at Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM), Thunder Bay, organized an event in which first and second-year medical students were guided through several online small-group sessions focusing on a variety of cardiology topics and skills. Students cycled through the following stations: the approach to chest pain, how to read an ECG, cardiovascular pharmacology, advanced cardiac life support, and various modalities of cardiorespiratory imaging. The sessions were guided by a pharmacist, internal medicine residents, and physicians.
