ACP Physician Peer Coaching Program Rules

Coach Training Program

Eligibility: Participants must be an active physician member in good standing to be eligible to participate in this program. Active membership is required throughout the term of the program. If the participant鈥檚 membership expires during the program term, they will be required to renew their membership to continue accessing online materials. Residents, Fellows-in-Training, Medical Students, and non-physician Affiliate Members are not eligible for this program. 

Attendance: Live attendance for the four virtual training dates is mandatory to earn a certificate of completion for the program. Training dates will be advertised on the ACP website at time of purchase. Accommodations can be made for missing no more than one of the training sessions, in which case participants will be required to complete the make-up assignments as instructed by ACP staff and/or faculty. Participants who do not meet attendance requirements are not eligible for any refunds. 

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the program start date. The program start date is the date access to online material is provided. 

Changes to Program Training Dates: ACP reserves the right to change training dates due to extenuating circumstances. If any of the training dates are changed, Participants will receive written notice from ACP and offered a rescheduled date. If participants are unable to attend the new date, they will receive instructions to accommodate the missed session.   

Coaching Waiver: Participants must agree to the terms of the ACP Physician Peer Coaching Waiver. 

Individual Coaching Bundles (Products include: 6-month bundle, 3-month bundle, Quality Improvement Champion bundle) 

Eligibility: Participants must be an active physician member in good standing to be eligible to participate in this program. Active membership is required throughout the term of the program. If the participant鈥檚 membership expires during the program term, they will be required to renew their membership to continue accessing online materials. Medical Students and non-physician Affiliate Members are not eligible for this program. 

Coaching Call Attendance/Rescheduling: Live attendance is required for each scheduled coaching call. Participants will be responsible for scheduling calls with their coach using the designated scheduling link provided. All allocated coaching calls must be scheduled within the designated program period. Participants may request for a coaching call to be rescheduled by providing written notification to their coach at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled call. If the participant fails to give 24-hour notice, then that coaching hour is forfeited. If the participant fails to schedule all allocated coaching calls during the program period, then the remaining coaching hours will be forfeited without a refund. 

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the program start date.  No refunds will be issued for calls missed due to failure to provide adequate notice. 

Coach Assignment: Participants will be assigned a coach at the start of the program term. ACP will do our best to ensure that participants work with their same assigned coach during the entire program term. However, participants are not guaranteed to work with the same coach over the full program term. If a coach re-assignment is required, ACP will do our best to re-assign a coach within two weeks.

Group Coaching Bundle (Products include: 6-month group bundle) 

Eligibility: Participants must be an active physician member in good standing to be eligible to participate in this program. Active membership is required throughout the term of the program. If the participant鈥檚 membership expires during the program term, they will be required to renew their membership to continue accessing online materials. Medical Students and non-physician Affiliate Members are not eligible for this program. 

Coaching Call Attendance/Rescheduling: Live attendance is required for each scheduled group coaching call. Group coaching call dates will be advertised on the ACP website at time of purchase. If the participant is unable to attend a group coaching call, then they forfeit that coaching hour and is not eligible for a refund. To prevent disruption to the group, participants must arrive on time for the coaching call. If a participant arrives more than 10 minutes after the coaching call start time, they may not be admitted into the session. 

Refund Policy: No refunds will be issued within 30 days of the program start date.  The product start date for the group coaching bundle will be the first scheduled group coaching call. 

Coach Assignment: Participant groups will be assigned a coach at the start of the program term. ACP will do our best to ensure that participants work with their same assigned coach during the entire program term. However, participants are not guaranteed to work with the same coach over the full program term.

Ala Carte Coaching Products (Products include: On-demand, 1:1 and Focused Group Coaching Sessions) 

Eligibility: Participants must be an active physician member in good standing to be eligible to participate in this program. Active membership is required throughout the term of the program. If the participant鈥檚 membership expires during the program term, they will be required to renew their membership to continue accessing online materials. Medical Students and non-physician Affiliate Members are not eligible for this program. 

Coaching Call Attendance/Rescheduling: Live attendance is required for each scheduled ala carte coaching session. Ala carte coaching sessions dates and times will be advertised on the ACP website at time of purchase. If the participant is unable to attend the coaching session, then they forfeit that coaching hour.  

For focused group coaching sessions, participants must arrive on time for the coaching call. If a participant arrives more than 10 minutes after the coaching call start time, they may not be admitted into the session 

Refund Policy: No refunds if purchased within 7 business of the scheduled ala carte coaching. Ala carte coaching products must be canceled within 7 business days of the order date. 

Coaching Waiver: Participants must agree to the terms of the ACP Physician Peer Coaching Waiver.
