The General Internal Medicine State Preceptorship Program (GIMSPP) offers individual mentorship to Texas MS1s & MS2s interested in learning more about the field of internal medicine.
Since 1992, GIMSPP has paired attending physicians with interested medical students annually across the state of Texas. Students have the opportunity to work with physician mentors over multiple weeks in the summer, learning the operations of a clinical practice and experiencing the full range of activities in the life of a General Internal Medicine Physician.
