Meet the New Governor-elect Designee - New Hampshire Chapter

Congratulations to the New Hampshire Chapter Governor-elect Designee (GED), Elaine M. Silverman, MD, MPH, FACP. Our new GED will complete a year of training as a Governor-elect and start their four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2026. As Governor, Dr. Silverman will serve as the official representative of the College for our Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. In the meantime, Dr. Silverman will be working closely with Dr. Powell (the current governor) and College staff to learn about the College and their duties as Governor. Present Employment Position: Physician in Hyperbaric Medicine, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center

Other Appointments/Activities: I have been involved with teaching medical students and residents in various outpatient clinical settings where I have worked over the last 2 decades. For the last 3 years I have been a small group facilitator for Geisel 1st and 2nd year medical students for the course called On Doctoring, which is focused on learning history taking and physical exam skills; NH Liaison to the regional Medicare Contract Advisory Committee
