Dr. Steven (鈥淪teve鈥) Joyce聽awarded the prestigious聽Chapter Excellence/Lifetime Achievement Award
This award is聽a mark of honor and recognition of聽achievement for聽a senior physician who has been a faithful member of our聽chapter and who has made major contributions to the field of internal medicine in the state of聽Iowa. Dr. Joyce has served his patients, colleagues, and the聽Iowa聽ACP for many years.聽 He always has insightful and brilliant commentary on a wide range of topics in healthcare and beyond. He is witty, funny, and a genuinely amazing human being.聽聽
2023 Chapter Laureate Award
The Laureate award recognizes physicians in聽Iowa聽excelling in scholarship, teaching, innovation, and service. The two winners this year are聽Dr. Leatrice (鈥淟ea鈥) Olson and Dr. Katherine (鈥淜atie鈥) White. Dr. Olson has served the people of聽Iowa聽for over 39 years as a physician, educator, and residency director. Her patient care has been focused on patients who are often forgotten and marginalized. Dr. White has served her patients at the Veteran鈥檚 Administration and University of聽Iowa聽and has focused on聽education for聽many students and residents.聽Congratulations聽to Drs. Olson and White!聽
