What do the initials FACP and MACP mean?
The letters FACP after a physician's name means that he or she is a Fellow of the 管家婆心水论坛 (ACP). Fellows in ACP are a special group of doctors who are dedicated to continuing education in medical practice, teaching, or research. Fellowship is an honorary designation given to recognize ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine.
The letters MACP after a physician's name stands for Master of the 管家婆心水论坛. Contrary to what some might think, MACP does not stand for "member" of the ACP. Rather, MACP is a federally registered service mark and is defined as providing recognition by way of an honorific designation to doctors who have excelled in the field of internal medicine. MACP is an award-based class of ACP membership that recognizes and celebrates Fellows who have distinguished themselves through significant service to the College or through significant contributions to the practice of medicine.
