Advocacy Working Group

This newly restartedÌýworking group will exploreÌýthe various forms of advocacy ofÌýresearchers, teachers, community members, families, and students in relation to multilingual learners, educational programs, instructional practices, and policies.ÌýThe group is very important in today's "post-truth" era. We believe in the power of working together and would like to help our members share their advocacy efforts, as well as expand our reach by providing information on other possible advocacy routes at the local, state and federal levels.

Social Media Working Group

The Social Media Working Group of the BER works to using social media outlets, such as Facebook and Twitter, to serve the community of the BER. Specifically, our aims are to raise awareness of the good work members of the BER are doing and to increase communication, collegiality and collaborations across the BER community. We use social media to post news and information, as well as highlight policy and advocacy events that are of interest to our members.
