Overview

In an hour-long session titled Choosing the Right Battles: Remarks and a Conversation, Duncan will give a major talk on K-12 student assessment and then take audience questions. (Duncan is speaking 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. PDT, Tuesday, April 30. Questions are limited to 91涩漫 members.)

In addition, prominent scholars and other national voices will discuss the latest research on, and emerging trends in:

• Student assessment
• Equity in higher education
• Immigrant education
• The role of education schools/colleges in education reform
• For-profit education and low-income students
• School safety and bullying
• Early education
• Technology and learning
• Affirmative action
• The role of social media in reducing poverty
• And other key issues
