Understanding and Addressing Disparities in Diagnosis: Case 2 explores a case in the outpatient setting. The case focuses primarily on the difference in appearance of certain conditions on melanotic skin, as well as the differences in treatment some people of color may face as patients due to bias.

This module聽offers both CME and MOC credit聽free聽to members and聽for a small fee to non-members.

ACP鈥檚 interactive series on diagnostic excellence offers evidence-based strategies clinicians can use to improve diagnostic decision making by mitigating the effects of unconscious bias related to race, ethnicity, gender, and other identities, leading to improved outcomes for patients.

No individuals in control of content have any relevant financial relationships with ACCME-defined ineligible companies.  

The 管家婆心水论坛 is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

The 管家婆心水论坛 designates this enduring material for a maximum of .75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)鈩. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn .75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine鈥檚 (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider鈥檚 responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
