ACP releases Spanish-language edition Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program

'Standard of excellence for lifelong learning’ available in main Spanish-speaking countries

Philadelphia, November 21, 2019 – Latin American and Spanish general internists, internal medicine subspecialists, and primary care physicians can now update their knowledge or prepare for board certification with the Spanish-language version of the ܼˮ̳’ (ACP) 18th edition of the , translated by Grupo Océano.

“ACP's Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program has a proven legacy of helping physicians for more than 50 years,” said Davoren Chick, MD, FACP, and ACP’s Senior Vice President for Medical Education. “MKSAP 18 remains the standard of excellence for self-assessment, evidence-based medical education, and lifelong learning.”

Developed by an editorial team of more than 200 physicians, MKSAP 18 includes 11 medical knowledge sections. Spanish-language versions of Cardiovascular Medicine, Dermatology, and General Internal Medicine are now available online. The online format of the Endocrinology and Metabolism, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Hematology and Oncology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Rheumatology sections will be released in December 2019 (five sections) and July 2020 (the three remaining sections). The online version will include twice-yearly content updates to reflect practice-changing information.

The Spanish-language versions of MKSAP 18 Print will publish in November 2019 through July 2020. Content includes High Value Care recommendations, hospitalist-focused content, tables, full-color images, and an index.
